Christian Weidner

Christian is studying photojournalism and documentary photography at Hannover University of Applied Sciences and Arts and has been exploring the question of how our cities will develop for several years.
His focus is on socially oriented urban transformation that specifically addresses current societal challenges.
In a global context, he is interested in developments in Northern and Southeastern Europe, as well as in Turkey and China. A central goal of his work is to explain complex issues in an accessible way—issues that are often overlooked in public debates.
As an intern at Cityförster, Christian hopes to deepen his understanding of the possibilities for ecological transformation and, together with our team, develop narratives that make visions of ecologically and socially sustainable urban development more tangible.
