Pauline Delplace

M. Sc. architecture and urban design

Pauline has always been drawn to creative thinking and problem-solving, which is what led her to studying architecture at La Cambre-Horta faculty of the Free University of Brussels. Over time, her interest in sustainability became central, and she went on to study an Executive Master in Carbon-Neutral and Resilient Cities. Throughout her academic projects, internships, and two theses focused on urban food systems, she tried to approach design with curiosity and a drive to find innovative solutions.

A gap year spent traveling in South America and documenting the experience through photography, sketching, and writing deepened her connection to the environment and confirmed her motivation to work on projects that respond to today's global challenges. Originally from Brussels, she lived in Barcelona during and after her studies, and is now excited to call Rotterdam home, a third big European city, and to work on creating better places at Cityförster.
