Laura Leinert

M.Sc. Architektur

Laura has been part of the CITYFÖRSTER team in Hanover since September 2025. During her master's degree in architecture, she often noticed that the boundaries between building construction and urban design were blurred. She was always guided by the principles of preserving existing structures, sufficient intervention, flexible and long-term usage options, and a holistic approach.

As a tutor for basic teaching at the Institute for architectual design in Braunschweig, she worked with bachelor's students on architectural design and planning. She has always found the interface between architecture and urban planning particularly interesting, whether working in a landscape architecture office or in the "Urban Factory II" research project.

Her interest in monument and building preservation developed early on during a voluntary social year in monument preservation in Lübeck. In workshops with the Jugendbauhütte and through collaborative work, such as the Mauerbach theses, she deepened her understanding of the sensitive handling of historical building fabric
