In the sense of the productive city, the new Quarter offers a lively mixture of housing, non-disturbing production and trade, a day care center and generous open spaces. The neighborhood for more than 500 people is based on three guiding principles: 1. Green Square: Six building clusters and one day care center are located at a multifunctional square. 2. Mixed Clusters: Diverse housing and property types are grouped into clusters and thus promote a healthy social mix. 3. Simple Construction: Apartment blocks organized in rows allow an efficient and cost-effective implementation of much needed "affordable" housing. In the implementation of these guiding principles, the focus is on preserving the impressive mature tree structure and enabling an open peace of city, which is well connected with the surrounding.
