Marleen Klockenkemper

B.A. Urban Planning

Marleen Klockenkemper completed her bachelor's degree in urban planning at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applied Sciences in summer 2024. During her studies, she worked as a student assistant in the Department of Urban Planning and Urban Design at the Detmold University of Architecture and gained her first practical experience at the urban planning office Bläser Jansen Partner. In her thesis, she developed an innovative strategy for transforming the car-friendly city of Bremerhaven into a socio-cultural and productive urban society. Based on the concept of superblocks, the aim is to bring life back into the public space in order to rethink and promote mobility change and the social and cultural dynamics of the city. Until the start of her Master's degree, she is taking the opportunity of a gap year to get to know everyday office life and the diverse areas of the field. After a first internship in co-creation at urbanista in Hamburg, she is now deepening her knowledge in urban and open space design at Cityförster.
